Teen Advisory Committee (TAC)

Part of the Library’s mission is to serve the educational, informational, cultural, and recreational needs of the entire community. The teen group has not been a target group for library efforts in the past but with the opening of our expanded facility it has become a target for all kinds of services.

The Public Services Department of the library is looking to attract a group of youth to form a Teen Advisory Committee to help us design and deliver the services and programs that would be most useful and inviting to teens. The TAC would meet monthly to discuss plans and ideas. The meetings would be fun with a prize drawing, refreshments, and an opportunity to put your hands on the buttons and levers that guide the services you will use at the library.

At many libraries the Teen Advisory Committee goes on to plan and conduct programs and to take on responsibilities as Library Volunteers. Fill out the Teen Volunteer Application and indicate your interest in the TAC and we will contact you by email for the first meeting.
