Supporting Us
There are several ways that you can support your library in a very direct way.
-
We accept donations at any time; one nice way is to give in memory of a loved one or in honor of a loved one. Upon the passing of friends and family many use the public library as a way to make a living memorial to their loved ones by purchasing books that can serve others.
-
Honor gifts are much the same but are done while the loved one is able to enjoy the attention. Frequently honor gifts come at anniversary time or other special occasions.
-
Joining the Friends of the Library for as little as $5 is a wonderful form of support for your library, and you might enjoy the interesting programs and events sponsored by the Friends. The annual book sale is a Friends event.
-
Being a library volunteer is a wonderful gift to the library and to the community. Many of our volunteers love the work so much that they remain with us for years. You can work just a few hours a week and learn to flex some new mental and physical muscles.
-
Spread the good word about the important and interesting services and programs offered by the library. We count on our users to tell others what an asset and a bargain the library is for our community.
